{Mrs} My CNY holiday

My holiday started on Sunday.. (Almaklum, kelas masih berlangsung pada hari Sabtu.) Well, on Sunday, hubby and I went to Gombak to fetch his two sisters, before we continue our journey to Dusun Eco Resort in Bentong. Reached there about 11am. Cik Mie has packed so that she (and her family can leave the camp). I took over, and we stay in ‘Kuantan’ chalet. So small, four single beds are cramped inside the small room. No TV, No air conditioner.. The condition? Hmm… So poor. Well, what do I expect? We are here to camp. Not to relax..

So, that afternoon, hubby, Akak Amy, Baby and I, went to explore the place. We found a Jambatan Gantung. I challenged myself to cross the bridge. Padahal, dalam hati hanya tuhan yang tahu gementarnya. Meniti kabel kecil, terbayang pula titian Siratul Mustakim.

We actually went to Cherating because of a special reason, which only the four of us could understand. wink.. wink.. Sambil menyelam minum air. We went to Teluk Cempedak, so finally I got to touch the sea water. Even Baby wants to swim. But, its quite dangerous. The wave is quite strong. Later that afternoon, I got the news that someone died in Cherating. Syukur alhamdulillah, we didn’t went into the sea…

Then, the third day, we went back to Bukit Kuda. Singgah sekejap di Alam Budiman, tapi tak boleh masuk rumah kerana berkunci. Jawabnya, kena la tunggu sampai dapat kunci, baru boleh masuk… Takde peluang langsung nak tengok-tengok.

This morning, I rushed to the faculty to see my students took off by bus, to Dusun Eco Resort, for a camp. They organized Kem Wajar Diri AI, specially for all AI students. I wish, we could organize the same thing back then. But, it was quite difficult to apply such amount of budget to have a camping out activity. These students are very lucky!

I will definitely join them, but not today. I have to teach.. Yeah, right. Eventhough the semester break has started, my masters students are not leaving yet. Their class will be as usual, another 15 minutes.. So, I will have to wait till tomorrow, so that I can go to the camp, together with my lovely hubby, and two of his sisters.

Actually, there are some issue here in the faculty. That’s why I have to teach this Masters class. Sometimes, I feel like I’m not fit (or intelligent) enough to teach this level of students. However, I have to. I’m not the boss.. (yet…) I’ve tried to think on the positive side. Well, at least I have some extra experience. Isn’t it?

All these issues, will never put me down. I will become stronger, insyaAllah.. My dad’s simple answer to my situation is: “Ayah dah kata… Pergilah sambung belajar…” Is that the only solution? Hmm… Maybe. I will..

{Mrs} iClass training

Now, I’m sitting in a lab room in UiTM Kuantan, waiting for the ePJJ students to come. Supposed, we are here to train the students on how to use iClass system. However, ePJJ students are all in their class. Well, we’ve to wait until 4.00pm. So, here I am, updating my blog instead..

iClass system is the system used by all ePJJ, FLP and Part time students of UiTM. For full-time students, they will use the iLearn system. Both systems are used as the platform for user and lecturers interact with each other.

My personal opinion about the system:

• Efficient – helps a lot to give assignments to students. No need to print anymore. Ask the to download je la..
• Easy – when I’m not in the mood of teaching, I will prepare a quiz question set, and post it. Then, tell my students to answer the online quiz. Hehehe… No more marking, I just have to take all the marks, and put it into my marksheet.
• It suits me alot. As I’m tooooo lazy to face my students everyday. hahaha… boring la.

{Mr} Motivasi – Satu Perkongsian

Hi…. semua…

Dah 2 hari aku baca buku  The day the eagle took off wrote by David Goh…. aku baca dlm LRT-Putra… hehehe lrt milik ku… zaid putra… hehehe… itulah kelebihan naik LRT….. boleh rilek2… tak stress dlm kesesakan… buku ni sgt menarik….

Buku ini menceritakan tentang dirinya sendiri mcm mn penulis survive dlm kehidupan kota dlm thn 70-an… dtg dari kampung berbekalkan rm100 pemberian emaknya…. akhirnya penulis menjadi professional speaker…. dan berjaya dlm hidupnya…. siapa kata beras secupak takkan jd segantang? semuanya akan jd kenyataan dan hidup kita akan berubah jika kita berusaha untuk mengubahnya….

Ringkasnya, penulis berasal dr keluarga yg agak susah di kampung…. dia kemudiannya mencabar dirinya utk mencari rezeki di k.l untuk memajukan dirinya…. mmg pahit di awal2 kehidupannya di kl… dia bekerja sbg kontraktor bangunan di Bgn Cahaya Suria (kt Pudu)… dan dipindahkan ke Bangunan Bank Rakyat…. di sn dia menjd penjaga stor… ditakdirkan dia bertemu rakan lamanya kembali dan rakannya mengajak dia memasuki bidang sales n marketing…. secara sambilan dilakukannya… kemudian dia ditawarkan menjadi speaker motivasi di salah satu event di hotel (kali pertama) dgn bayaran yg agak rendah….. dia terima tawaran tersebut dgn harapan ini menjadi batu loncatannya…. mmg benar, slps itu dia berhenti kerja dan meneruskan kerjayanya di bidang tersebut….. akhirnya dia berjaya menjadi professional speaker…..

Itu lah sedikit sebyk kisah mengenainya…. apa yg aku dpt perhatikan… org yg berjaya ini asalnya bukannya org berada… mereka byk berusaha dlm mempertingkatkan diri mereka…… apatah lagi hidup dlm kota kuala lumpur yg sangat mencabar…….

{Mr} What a challenge day

Semalam (khamis=15 Jan 09), merupakan hari yg agak mencabar diri aku…. sampai kepala aku sakit mcm migrain plak… setiba di rumah aku rehatkan diri beberapa minit sebelum solat maghrib….. lalu aku terus tidur setelah selesai solat maghrib dan mandi…. sakit kepala yg amat….. aku lelap sementara di atas sofa sebelum org umah aku kejutkan aku untuk tidur di atas katil…. ms tu aku dlm keadaan separuh sedar…. aku hanya solat isyak pd pkl 5.30 pagi… ya allah, ampunkanlah dosa2 aku ini….

kisahnya di opis…. aku dibebani dgn pelbagai kerja seperti:

1. PC replacement activity

- ini memerlukan aku membantu vendor utk memasang pc2 baru kpd AMB users… dari segi pengurusan dan sedikit teknikal….

- menguruskan siapa yg perlu dipasang pc baru dan install beberapa application system kpd users…..  spt Document Imaging system(DocuWare) dan Accounting System (ACCPAC) …. selain itu adalah beberapa sistem aplikasi kecil yg perlu di install yg mana vendor tak tau…. service ini ITD yg bg… so aku la yg kene buat…..

- dah lama tak install application tersebut… perlu rujuk manual…. at first tak berjaya …. mintak support vendor thru phone call and resolved…. dah tu kenelah install sumer tu kat users….tak sempat siap pasal ada keje2 lain lg… sambung hari nie (jumaat=16 Jan 09)…

2. Liaise dgn vendors utk menguruskan migrasi AMB domain kpd PNB domain memandangkan 2 aplikasi tersebut di atas rely on the AMB domain…. minta feedback drp vendors….. send email and call them to follow up… then kene reply email to ITD – Data Center Dept….. give them the feedback….

3. Lanjutan drp migrasi tersebut, aku perlu buat beberapa survey on the shared folders for AMB users for each department…. send email to get feedback….. and make conclusion based on the users feeback…. masih menunggu feedback drp few departments….

4. Called for a short discussion with ITD – Bussiness Dev Dept…. to have a discussion about AMB matter… esp. for the Annual Maintenance Contract for few systems as well as enquiry about a few payments of vendors…. pergh…. tak ingat…. penat gilers….

5. Ada lg… wireless installation….. aku dan salah seorg ITD staff- Data Ctr Dept install pd 4 pc termasuk pc aku… ini hanya dlm tempoh percubaan sblm implement the whole pcs with wireles…. kene monitor the performance and give feedback to the person in-charge…

pergh…. 5 items done in one day… but need further action after this…. wow…. patutlah kene migrain….. satu hari tak de kat workstation aku….  penat gilers…..

After being serviced, my car still have the same problem. This problem started since the first day I got this car.. The engine warning light goes on and off whenever it feels to. Geram betul. Tapi, setakat ni, alhamdulillah, the engine never broke down.. Hopefully not..

{Mr} Hari berehatku

Mcm biasa lah… aku attend kelas sabtu ahad lalu…. subjek ke-2 minggu ke2…. untuk semester ini aku register 4 subjek… tp setakat ini baru ada kelas untuk 2 subjek…. selebihnya dlm bln depan….

subjek yg aku register: 1) Network Security 2) Application Dev Security 3) Crpyptography 4) Seminar

belumpun start cari bahan untuk assgnment dan final project untuk subjek (1), dah ada assignment utk subjek ke-2… memang mencabar… tak per aku sahut cabaran ini….. ini yg aku cari, aku kenelah tempuh segala rintangan….

Aku mungkin nampak rileks (spt wife aku kata)…. tp dlm hati siapa lah yg tau…. resah gelisah gundah gelana dibuatnya…. mlm ni, aku akan uruskan pembahagian assignment2 aku nanti… bila perlu siap dan bila perlu start buat… hehehe.. by right aku dah kene start buat assgmnt ni….

{Mrs} Optimax

This morning, after getting ready to go to work, I went to Optimax for my regular check up. Actually, my appointment is supposed to be on 12pm. However yesterday, the clinic assistant has reschedule me to 11.30am. I asked her to do that, as I’m having a class on 2.00pm. I need to prepare myself before getting into class.

Okay, enough about that. My concern today is, how long I have to wait for the optometrist to attend to me. I’ve waited for an hour. And still nobody called me. I went to the counter again…

“Lama lagi ke dik? Saya nak kena pegi kerja ni…”

“Eh, appointment you pukul 12 kan?”

“Dik, you’ve called me yesterday, and asked me to come on 11.30. Right?”

“oohhh..”

Barulah dia pergi ambik file aku, dan letak dalam queue.

“Tunggu ye? Ada satu patient lagi kat dalam..”

Aiyo… Bila fikir-fikirkan balik, memang beginilah setiap kali aku datang ke sini. Tapi entah kenapa, hari ni cepat betul panas darah ku menunggu.

I’m just not good at waiting..

{Mrs} Stressed out

Baru sahaja minggu pertama semester bermula.. Aku sudah mula stressed dengan semuanya. Kesannya? Kaki kejang, kepala sakit. Tekanan darah? Masih normal… Jangan risau, kalau tekanan darah sudah mula naik, tak mungkin aku ada masa menatap aspire one ku ini…

Saranan doktor: makan kalsium setiap hari. Ambil vitamin secukupnya.

Ironinya, mak dah berulangkali membebelku tentang itu. Selama ini, ku buat tak dengar sahaja. Selepas Dr Syed yang bersuara, barulah aku terangguk-angguk. Padan muka aku.

Kesimpulannya: dengar nasihat orang tua. Lebih-lebih lagi nasihat mak ayah.. Juga nasihat ummi. Tak perlu menunggu terantuk, baru nak terngadah. Sekian sahaja, kelas peribahasa pada hari ini… Hihihih…
